Dynamic (Triggered) Email Marketing
Convert’s email marketing comes in four delicious flavors: Dynamic (“triggered”) e-mails based upon a real-time profile match, as well as query (all visitors that have purchased $100 in good in the last 90 days), subscription e-mail campaigns (i.e. newsletters, specials lists, etc.), and trickle (drip) marketing campaigns.
Keeping on-site visitors engaged is an important but incomplete conversion strategy. Many visitors require multiple visits and engagements to reach the natural conversion ‘moment of truth’. Driving repeat visits through offline communications and targeted incentives is critical to maximizing conversion. Personalized, event triggered e-mails have proven to be highly effective at developing relationships with visitors and promoting their return to the website to continue with the conversion process, or cross-sell additional services.
Convert can automatically generate personalized, HTML based e-mails based on online behavior triggers, events or other marketing defined criteria (e.g. “Jim, as a frequent guest at our Pebble Beach resort, we’d like to alert you to our off-season specials for preferred guests”, “Bobby, we noticed you were unable to complete your Mediterranean Cruise Vacation, please accept this coupon for a free upgrade by clicking below to complete your checkout”).
Subscription Email Marketing
Similar to standard email marketing systems, Convert provides (out-of-the-box) a full opt-in subscriber list management solution. Unlike standard email systems, Convert integrates directly into Convert Dynamic Forms that allows any onsite form field to trigger an email subscription event.
Query Email Marketing
Given Convert Email’s tight integration with the Convert Profiling Engine, Convert uniquely allows marketers to quickly and directly perform queries against the Visitor Record database to develop highly-targeted email lists. Convert queries utilize the same profiling criteria and audience segmentation definitions created as part of the onsite personalization process to ensure a consistent, contextual cross-channel messaging experience for each visitor.
Trickle Email Marketing
Convert Email offers a unique new type of email campaigning system that conforms to Convert’s objective of helping Amtrak maximize the lifetime value of each specific visitor. Trickle campaigns recognize that not all visitors are in the same part of their transaction life-cycle (i.e. some are first time travelers, some are veteran travelers). Trickle campaigns are a series of triggered emails based on specific behaviors of a single visitor (i.e. first time booking). The trickle email string is meant to deliver a series of unique emails to that individual designed to promote movements to the next stage of the transactional life-cycle (i.e. 2nd booking, family booking, first-class booking, etc.). Emails will be delivered according to a relative and/or absolute time scale that is relevant for that transaction cycle (i.e. 1st mailing is delivered after 1st booking, 2nd mailing is delivered 20 days later, 3rd mailing is delivered on Dec 10th to promote holiday travel, 4th mailing is delivered 39 days later to promote family travel, etc.). In this way each individual visitor can be managed according to their own personal transaction life-cycle stage and will receive email messages accordingly, and not necessarily on pre-determined dates with pre-packaged content as it is with Subscription Campaigns.
Instant Messaging (Triggered)
How would you like to be able to send an instant message to an end user. In addition to being able to engage visitors in a live chat while they’re on your Web site, you can now send a message to someone through any of the popular instant messaging (IM) networks such as Yahoo, AIM, MSN, Google and others.
